You are looking at a very unique pen completely hand done by Maki-e master, Mr. Masanori Omote. Sakura-Kawa literally means "Cherry Tree Bark". Here the Maki-e artist manipulate the urushi lacquer to make the pen look and feel like a tree bark. The pen is not made of wood, but urushi lacquer to make it look like one. The cap band is decorated with exquiste maki-e work. It is truly unique, exotic, and a pleasure to hold in your hand and to write with. The pen is completely new with box and paper.
